Meet the Team

Medicare Mark Fuchs, Monica Fuchs and family on vacation

Mark Fuchs | Co-Founder, CEO & President

  • Pronunciation: Fuchs is pronounced “fooks”, like the "Whoop!" sound people make when they find someone who truly gets what they're going through with Medicare.

  • Trust: You won't trust my advice without trusting me. Let's get acquainted. (If you read this and email me your favorite coffee shop, I’ll buy you a cup of coffee.)

  • Background: Lifelong Oregonian, raised in McMinnville with Army summers across the U.S.

  • Favorites:

    • Orange is my favorite color.

    • l Iove Oregon's diverse landscapes; our family travels the state frequently. (We’ve been known to throw a dart at the map and head there for the weekend.) When asked if we’re “local” and we are anywhere in Oregon, the answer is YES.

  • Expertise: I can discuss dental coverage with more experience than most Medicare brokers. Bet on it.

How I Got Here

I came into the Medicare industry by way of experience with my dad, a retired Army SFC and Vietnam Veteran. The six-month process of losing him in late 2016 sparked a profound shift in my life. I looked after him when a car accident followed by a same day fall at home resulted in months of hospital and skilled nursing facility stays. He returned home and was gone within sixty days.

In that six-month timeframe, I researched all available resources for him and found that just trying to get help wasn’t only physically draining on him, it was emotionally depleting for both of us. In the end, he gave out and died alone in his home.

What I do isn't just a job. It never has been. It is a deeply personal commitment, and every client interaction isn't just a consultation or just an enrollment; it's a chance to honor my dad. I take pride in advocating for and empowering other people's parents to live their best and healthiest lives.

Here’s the thing: I can’t fix the system. But I know it, I can help you through it, AND I have just enough contempt for it to make sure you are getting absolutely everything you can out of it.

Monica Fuchs | Co-Founder, COO & Marketing

  • Proud corporate dropout after 22 years in the banking industry, where my detail-driven approach thrived but my creativity and autonomy suffocated.

  • Like Mark, I am a lifelong Oregonian, and an avid gardener. Spending a day working outside is at the top of my weekend to-do list.

  • Neurodivergent and an advocate for those still finding their voice, especially where mental health is concerned.

    • With extensive personal experience, I believe that mental health has been stigmatized throughout the lives of our senior population and seen as a personal weakness - due to misconceptions, misrepresentations and a lack of understanding. It is way past time for those who need it to seek much needed, much deserved relief from chronic depression and anxiety without reservation, and with full support and access from society at large.

  • Waking up every day is a privilege, a truth I am highly sensitive to as I study to earn a death doula certification. I deeply appreciate each interaction I have, as well as every day spent with my family. Raising our incredible kids and having come from an equally wonderful family of origin are two of the biggest joys of my life.
